Fed up of nursing

Oh so common but I'm fed up of being a nurse. It's awful and bitchy. What else can I do??

Where do you work, can't you just look for a different nursing job.

I found some wards were worse than others with the bitchyness.
I'm going back to nursing next year hopefully. I had to quit due to disabled DS.
I've been working in a school for the past 3 years. It is just as bitchy as nursing and despite the numerous holidays, it is very high pressured and stressful due to having to fit everything in before the next half term.
Give me a ward of sick people any day over a school with 400 kids, parents and staff all having a moan.

It seems everywhere is the same which is demoralizing

Have you thought about going into the community? We have HV's, school nurses and band 5 nurses in our team and no one is bitchy. Overworked and underpaid but not bitchy

I don't mine being overworked I just can't bear bitchy nurses. I'd need at least a band 6 for money reasons. I was on the community and loved it. Regret leaving really.
I have considered practice nursing but unsure 're terms and conditions

I think the practice nurses don't earn a great deal unless they specialise (diabetes, COPD, nurse practitioner etc) as the practice doesn't have to adhere to the nhs banding system when it's run my the partners. The hours are better though I also know an NP who's a partner of a practice.

Please also know I'm not a nurse at all I just work with them so might be talking rubbish
