What's your ultimate goal?

Hi there. I'm trying to work out why people want to go self employed & what is the biggest obstacle to achieving it?
I'd appreciate your feedback - why do people want to be self employed, what's holding you back & what has been tried to move you forwards?

I want to be self employed to have flexibility, a better purpose for getting up in the morning and no crappy managers, etc. Fed up of corporate employment. I get no pleasure out of my job at all.

Biggest obstacle is coming up with a business idea and sticking to it. Money. Time. Energy.

I dont want to be poor, I want my kids to have something and a decent role model
Time with kids and watching all the programs that say you have to be young and have money to start.
