Hello. I am just looking for some advice.
I currently have a permanent job. I have been there 8 years. I work 4 days a week. 2 days from home and 2 in the office which involves a 90 minute commute.
A job has come up in the town I live. I could walk there so there would be no travel costs (currently about £3.5k a year). It is the same salary as I earn now but for 5 days a week.
Financially I'd be better of though because there's no travel and even though it's an extra day a week I think I'd have a better balance and I wouldn't have 2 ridicously long day.
But ... it's a 1 year fixed term contract. I am a single parent. Part of me feels this is a great opportunity but the other part thinks it's only for a year and the job I have now is more stable
