Experiences of Shared Parental Leave

My husband and I are considering taking shared parental leave when our baby comes and wondered if others have done this and how did it go?

My maternity benefits aren't amazing and I get paid more so we are thinking it makes more sense for me to go back after 6 months. My husband will probably then take 3 months and we'll put the baby in nursery after that.

Has anyone got experiences to share?

We did this exactly and it worked really well! I think it’s helped us view the childcare more equally and it helped me to respect his way of doing it.
