...is it a big ask? I've never had to ask for one before but I will need one to apply for a job I'm hoping to get. I can get a reference from my current employer but the job I want is within the same organisation so I'll need another from someone not connected to that organisation. I thought of asking the mother of a boy I taught a musical instrument to over a couple of years who is an acquaintance and with whom I always had a good relationship (and the lessons went really well and were enjoyed by the pupil!) but I'm not sure if it's a bit cheeky! What do you think? How would you feel about being asked?
