I have a colleague who lies constantly above the work she has or hasn’t done, basically to cover up how lazy she is. She is so compulsive that I have proof of many of her lies and have even got her to lie in front of our boss several times! One example would be saying a document had been filed weeks ago when it had not.
It’s starting to really get to me as management are not acting fast enough and my own work is starting to be affected, as I don’t know what the truth is on anything. The worst part is that my colleague has never admitted to any of these lies, even when she is completely backed into a corner, and hangs on to them to the grim death. I don’t manage this person so feel I can only push her so far.
What on earth can I do in such a situation? Apart from keeping records, which I’m already doing.
