Business take over

Can someone tell me or link law if a business is taken over or bought out or merged with another, what happens to the staff of the business taken over? Thanks.

Try acas. Usually terms, pay etc are protected under TUPE but if roles are duplicated or locations closed there may be redundancies.

The employees may be covered under the TUPE process.
