Help me find a new career!

I'm thinking of going back to work but want to change careers and only work part time! So far I'm thinking of either ante-natal counsellor, librarian, swimming instructor or occupational therapist!

I've had a look over courses etc required but also want to hear from anyone who does one of these jobs - what are they like, do they enjoy it etc.

Really hope someone can help me choose!

Years ago I worked as a recruiter of OTs and did it very unsuccessfully as they were in short supply. I suspect that this has changed somewhat.

I've heard that librarians can train on the job these days to obtain chartership. I've worked in libraries and enjoyed it. Lots of part time work in libraries.

I've also been a swimming instructor but this was years ago and have zero advice to offer. From a completely shallow perspective it would play havoc with my blow dried hair these days.

I've never been an ante-natal counsellor. I've been pregnant though but not sure I even knew that such people existed!

llareggub, thanks. blow dried hair wouldn't be a problem now for me lol! Did you enjoy the swimming though when you did it?

Not overly, to be honest. But don't let that put you off
