have you often turned jobs down?

was just wondering... I turned down a job last year with a well known IT firm as they wouldn't offer any kind of flexible working, and I didn't want dd in full time childcare. (I do currently work, but not f/t). I have turned down jobs previously as well if eg. the money wasn't right or travelling would be a pain. I've fallen out with several job agents over it! I guess I was lucky in that I didn't have to take that particular job at the time, or it was at the point where IT was booming and you had a choice of jobs.
Am currently applying as dd is about to start school - have interview tomorrow - but would still turn the job down if it was offered but wasn't right..

I turned down a job last year. I realised I didn't want to do crisis management work any more - busy, stressful, long hours, no paid overtime. They were very nice about it, and held the job open for me for a month while I thought about it, but it was absolutely the right decision.

Am now much happier doing something completely different.

wow they held the job open for a month! you obviously made the right decision though. Am going to this interview tomorrow, its quite a long trek though so am not sure already. am spoilt at the mo as far as location goes!
