Marketing strategy for my business?

Jas8085 · 20/11/2017 11:25

Hi all,
I am working on a brilliant educational product/service for primary school children.

My website is nearly ready. The SEO part is slow since I am still learning/reading about it. I registered accounts on FB and Twitter (didn't post anything yet).

Can I ask for ideas to launch/market my business please? If you have a children related business, please can you share your story? Esp how you reach out to your customers.

Send your product to mum/ parent bloggers?

BitOutOfPractice · 20/11/2017 11:35

Start posting on social media!

Is it a locally targeted business of national?

Good idea @QuinoaKeen, I will make a note of this. Do you have any recommendations here - mum/parent bloggers that you follow?

@BitOutOfPractice: it's national

Hard to advise on social media as I don't know how experienced you are:

Facebook advertising is cheap and very effective

Twitter advertising also improving all the time.

Use something like Tweriod to time your tweets. Schedule tweets and FB posts using a tool like hootsuite

Include pictures and videos with everything you do as well as a link back to your web site - every time.

Create some great content that can be used across platforms

Think about instagram too

You could outsource the SEO. There are plenty of professionals who can get it done at a less cost for you.

If its service business, you need to be reliant on SEO. Else you can promote on Facebook, Twitter etc.

Other than that, you could approach schools and get some Ad placed on school notice boards. And get some bloggers write about your product/service. Make sure you get a write up on influential bloggers and bloggers (video recommendations).

If you approach a professional agency, they could do a viral marketing by creating a viral video about your product/service. You could do it before launch of your product/service.

It's content that matters - the marketing helps if your content is by itself compelling.

There is no point in attracting a million visitors and have them leave within a second never to come back.

So forget social media and seo for now, focus on content.

Btw if your content is great, word of mouth should be more than enough.
