My partner applied for a taxi license but has been asked to see a committee as there has been a police objection on his license. There isn't much information online about how these meetings go & we haven't received the letter yet. I was wondering if anyone has been to or knows anyone that has attended one of these and what it will entail?
And whether their application was successful afterwards?
If anyone wants to know details a long story short. Someone stole his bike when he was 19. He confronted them, They got into a mutual fight and he was then given an assault charge. He's never been in a fight before or after this.
Him and a friend also do this urban exploring of abandoned buildings as a hobby. Someone saw them one night & phoned the police and he was charged with intent to steal. To clarify he had no intention of stealing anything, the place is abandoned and they have no proof this was ever their intention.
Any information on how these meetings go would be most helpful.
