Temporary staff member after 12 weeks

I'm temping with a local council via an agency and will have been here 12 weeks from next Monday. So I understand that I am now entitled to the same rights as I if I were a direct employee in terms of hourly rate, holiday entitlement and enrollment into pension scheme.

Could anyone with experience of being in a similar position please let me know how this 'transition' went. One of my concerns is that they will tell me I'm already on the same pay even though I strongly suspect I'm not.

Also, what is the notice period for agency workers?

Re notice period, you need to check with your agency, as they are your employer.

Similarly, your holiday entitlement will be granted by your agency, and rates of pay. You are to some extent at an advantage in that you can have an honest conversation with your agency about the rate of pay you're getting and if you think you need to be on more money. The agency will try to negotiate an improved rate, and that means more commission for them!
