Can they change date

I got offered a new job yesterday in writing and have accepted straight away...i emailed my current boss my resignation and posted a copy (im on annual leave at the end of my maternity leave).

I put that my end date would be the 27th Nov (4 weeks notice) but they haven't acknowledged my resignation.

I need to tell my new employer when im finishing....so cqn my i tell them the 27th is my last day or can my current employer change the date?

Provided you have given the required amount of notice your current employer cannot force you to change your leaving date. They can ask but you don't have to agree.

Just check in your contract it is 4 weeks notice and not a calendar month - always causes issues where I work with people expecting to leave earlier.
