Moving on from being a teaching assistant

As the title says I'm looking at moving on from being a teaching assistant. I've been in the job for many years, I have searched about to see what other people have done AFTER this role and can't find any answers. The training is job specific, though does have lots of relatable skills. Can anyone advise me?

Is support worker for adults anything you would be interested in or would you still like to work with children? Or go away from the care side of things?

Maybe working with children as a healthcare assistant in a hospital or the community? I work as a teaching assistant but have also thought about children’s nursing too.

Do you know what it is you'd like to change? Is it hours, pay, progression or type of work? I think getting that in order will help :)

Have a look at school suppliers, having experience at the coal face really helps when you’re dealing with schools, whether that’s sales, support, admin etc etc. A lot of them offer school hours / term time work
