Not sure if this is right place? I work part time, am a single parent with 2 dc's. I currently get working tax credit, child tax credit and housing benefit. I am terrifed about universal credit and am wondering what I can do to protect my situation. Looking for advice from others in similiar situation.

What about it?

Theres no point worrying about it yet. There could be a couple of years before you are switched over. The main problem is the six week wait for the first payment but the government are talking of reducing it now. As a single parent you may be expected to look for more hours dependiing on the age of your youngest and how many hours you work.
