I have a franchise with a baby and toddler group there has recently been some changes in the company that I'm not very happy with I love my job when I'm working but I just don't like the company anymore I'm wondering if I can start my own classes using the same venues but with a different name, music, toys and musical instruments. My worry is the groups were set up with the name of the company could I get into trouble if I set up s class in the name place.

Check your contract but I suspect not. There is probably something in there about not setting up in competition. Do you plan to sell the franchise? You also couldn't use your current customer base.

It depends on the relevant clauses in your franchise agreement. I am a franchisor myself and my franchisees wouldn't be able to do this.

Did you get your franchise agreement reviewed by a solicitor before signing it?

I've just been having a look at my contract and franchise agreement both of them do not have a conpotition section nothing in either says anything about it. My cousin is a solicitor I've just sent him my contract and franchise agreement he says he will have a good look for me.
