I'm applying for a job in a school office and having trouble with the job references. They need two, one of which should be current/most recent employer but not a friend or family member.
I am currently "employed" by mine and my partners company of which I am a director. So I shouldn't put him as a referee. Previous to this I was self employed for a long time. My last proper job was therefore over 10 years ago. Is this the one I should list?
