KIT Days - can someone explain the policy?

I am due to do some KIT days coming up. This is the policy of my employer;

If you are receiving SMP only, this will be topped up to full pay on a pro rota basis for the number of hours you complete on that day.

Could someone explain it? Am I right in assuming that I can work it as SMP x 7 = £20.14 per day. I earn roughly £14.83 per hour, and I would be working seven hours a day (eight minus lunch) so £14.83 x 7 = £103.81. If they are “topping up” to full pay, does that mean that I need to deduct the daily SMP rate from my daily rate so £103.81 - £20.14 = £83.67? So I could get £83.67 per day ON TOP of SMP?

So for example, if I worked two days a week I would get SMP at £140.98 + £167.34 (minus tax and NI)?

Yup, that's exactly how we calculate it at my work.
