I have reasonably well controlled epilepsy however the last couple of months it's not been too good as I've been unable to keep down medication due to a gastric condition. Due to this I have had to take severally days off work and today had to leave early. I've been to see my GP today and he's signed me off work for a week. I work in an incredibly stressful job and am looking for another job (however that's another story) as I have only been employed for less than a year I understand I am limited in terms of my employment rights however just wanted to get a bit of advice on what my employer can/can't do

Hi, sorry you are having a rough time. It doesn't matter that you haven't been in your job for less than a year because the epilepsy is classed as a disability under the Equality Act, and as such your employers must make reasonable adjusments. There is a really comprehensive guide published by the union TUC called "Epilepsy in the Workplace" that is a pretty good starting place to your rights in the workplace. You can download it as a pdf
