We will soon be an official working household again! Soooo nice... hate being on benefits.

Dh went for a really good job a couple of weeks ago but didn't manage to get it ... however he wasn't downhearted as it just wasn't meant to be, obviously. About two days later, he had an email from some neighbours in the village asking if he would be interested in doing some catering for guests of their business ... !!!! Dh was over the moon as he loves cooking, and this will fit around my new job perfectly!

He starts at the beginning of May, about a week after me -

I know exactly what you mean about the benfits thing, I can't wait until I don't have to claim them.

EllieKthePA · 06/04/2007 14:49

massive congratlations Miaou, it is the greatest feeling ever when you can finally tell them to stuff the sodding benefits syatem! can't wait to get back to that myself!

Nemo2007 · 06/04/2007 14:51

Congrates Miaou its a relief when they are back at work isnt it. We were lucky that Dh was only out of work 6wks,

Miaou · 06/04/2007 16:18

oops sorry was knitting

I'm running the local pre-school (bites fingernails) so I will be working 9-12 every day. MrMiaou will be working up until about 8.45am (ish), then doing meals in the evening. The people he will be working for are friends of ours and know the set-up, so have planned it around our childcare arrangements (bless em!). Dh may possibly do lunches too (probably pre-prepared though) if ds can be looked after safely whilst he is working (sounds like it's possible).

Sherlock - gets his licence back on 6 August (therefore not in time for this baby being born ) - not long to go now!

Oooh, I love good news about MN friends! Congratulations to you both for your new jobs!

oxocube · 06/04/2007 18:09

thats great news!! Well done to you both

Miaou · 06/04/2007 18:12

Oooh I hope so sherlock!! The next few months are going to be the worst, as previously I've not been able to drive beyond 7 months pg as I can't comfortably get behind the wheel (however as we now have a minibus I might be ok). Plus obviously we have the "getting to hospital whilst in labour" debacle to get through ... (argh)

Thanks for the good wishes folks
