Qualifying as solicitor in-house?

Not sure if my title quite right!
I completed my LPC 5 years ago, and have worked in Information Compliance since, now in a HE setting. Is there anyway I could qualify as a solicitor from my current role? I know there have been changes in qualifying, and haven't investigated yet, but thought I'd ask if anyone could point me in right direction? I'd given up hope of it when I got my most recent role but now several of my LPC cohort have just qualified and it got me thinking.

Many thanks for pointers.
