Do I need to work a notice period?

Hi everyone, I would really like some help please

I work full time in the week at a childminders but I have recently got a weekend retail job aswell to help save money for when baby arrives.

I have not been at the job for a month, only 2 weeks, but already want to hand my notice in as I am really not enjoying it. I dread going into work and I am starting to have anxiety attacks (which I haven't suffered with for nearly 2 years).

I have not been provided with a contract so notice periods have not been provided and looking on the internet I can only find that you need to give a weeks notice if you have worked over a month.

So what is the notice period if I haven't even been there a month yet? Or is there no need for a notice period?

Just hand your notice in with immediate effect. There's nothing to be gained for you or them by you working any notice at all really!

I wouldn't even bother going in - just say you're leaving with immediate effect
