Adding links to cover letter and CV?

Is this a good thing?

I. E. The company you work for, inserting the link to it.

I have this and think it is a good idea, gives people what caliber of work you done. This is of course if companies are good.

It's fine (and shows IT literacy, anyway). The neatest way to do it is to include a hyperlink within the company name, rather than to write Company Name (www.website.web).

So McDonalds rather than McDonalds (www.mcdonalds.com).
