Circumstances beyond control in job

I work as a project manager and we are service providers - all seemed to be going ok then staff starting losing jobs so now we are being scape goated and receiving a lot of criticism about our work. The staff I work with are undergoing structural changes and new management in this company are making staff fear for their jobs but they do need direction. This is making my management nervous as they don't want to lose the business. I have not really enjoyed the job and keen to get a new job or move internally. But there's not much around at the minute. I may have to move anyway if this contract is lost but I feel there are factors beyond our control that is making the project go sour. Anyone had this and got any advice on how to deal with it. The term sinking ship comes to mind.

Can you get some testimonials and good feedback from any "friendly" stakeholders who have valued your service? Build up your personal profile, get your CV out there to internal and external recruiters and find something that suits your career needs.

Sounds like your current arrangement has no future for you.
