Interview commitment

Hi. I'm just trying to get a feel of what a prospective employer might think. Found my absolute perfect, perfect job working in a private school. I was away on holiday on interview day (within the UK) and was asked if there was any way I could attend. So I cut my holiday short and rocked up for interview! Sounds extreme but really felt it worth it. Wondering however what the school would think of this? Massive commitment or desperation? Thanks x

DD2 had an interview arranged for the same day as one of her exams on her masters course. They couldn't rearrange the day but they offered her a later time so she sat exam and then travelled 100 miles for the interview. She got the job - they were impressed that she made the effort to attend.

Definitely an impressive sign to an employer - shows genuine interest in the job and a willingness to put yourself out. I'd see it very favourably.
