Unemployed SAHM - been offered 3 days consultancy work - how to invoice??

I left my previous job a few years ago to become a SAHM. I'm unemployed but not claiming any benefits. My old job have asked me to do 3 days of work for them in Sept/Oct which I have agreed to in principle however I'm unsure about getting paid etc. I've tried searching online but it's not clear at all. Sorry if these questions are very obvious!

  1. Do I have to set myself up as some kind of business/sole trader? I'm unlikely to be doing any more work for them as I'm currently pregnant.
  1. Am I supposed to send them an invoice after the work is complete?
  1. I won't be earning enough to pay any tax or NI so presumably I just cash the cheque and that's that?
  1. Will I need to complete some paperwork for HMRC at the end of the tax year?

Many thanks in advance!

If it's a one off and you're going to earn a few hundred quid and have no other income then yes, send them an invoice and bank the cheque. Invoice needs to include name and address and date it. Class 2 nic kicks in at £6025 pa, class 4 at £8164 and income tax at £11500. You don't need to notify as self employed unless over these limits
