I left my previous job a few years ago to become a SAHM. I'm unemployed but not claiming any benefits. My old job have asked me to do 3 days of work for them in Sept/Oct which I have agreed to in principle however I'm unsure about getting paid etc. I've tried searching online but it's not clear at all. Sorry if these questions are very obvious!
- Do I have to set myself up as some kind of business/sole trader? I'm unlikely to be doing any more work for them as I'm currently pregnant.
- Am I supposed to send them an invoice after the work is complete?
- I won't be earning enough to pay any tax or NI so presumably I just cash the cheque and that's that?
- Will I need to complete some paperwork for HMRC at the end of the tax year?
