I went for an interview today and the job is for term time only. I was wondering, as my brain weren't working to think of asking these questions, what would I do for pay whilst Im not working? Would I get a few weeks paid for me? Im worried as at the moment Im on income support etc.

Probably get paid every month but less - i.e all of salary spread over 12 months.

I work 39 weeks, get 4 weeks paid holiday, and its split over 12 months so I get pay during the summer when I'm not working.

Hope you get the job

I did p/t school kitchen work when I was college and to start with we got half pay through the holidays, but then they changed it and paid a higher hourly rate, but no pay during the holidays.

My bf is a cleaner in a school and she gets no holiday pay, and my mum is a univeristy librarian who also gets no pay through the holidays.

You should really ask, because 6 weeks through the summer is a long time to have no pay.

My dad is term time only but he get's paid monthly throughout the summer regardless. I guess it depends where you work and what the job spec is.
