Thinking about retraining as a phlabotomist once dc start school. Can anyone point me in the right direction

I'm expecting 3rd dc in Sept so still have some time to make decisions.
I'm currently a sahm which I absolutly love but money is a bit tight so there is the possibility I will have to go back to work. Ideally I don't want to until dc are all at school but I'm thinking about training etc I could start doing just before ds3 is old enough to go.
I've always liked the idea of phlabotomy but I'm struggling to find any info on training etc. I've found some courses but they are expensive and we don't have a lot of spas money. I already have a degree so I would have to pay to do another degree. Does anyone know where to start etc?

What about being a donor carer? They're the people who look after you and take the blood when you go and give blood. Look here: www.jobs.nhs.uk/xi/search_vacancy/ce229f67f18946b391525d7a16dfdce0/. I'm fairly certain they train you on the job and you wouldn't need a special degree.

If you mean phlebotomy, as in blood taking, don't try and do any courses before getting a job. You'd be paid to learn once employed. Do you realise it's actually a low-band job? Most roles are band 2 or band 3.

Yes lougle, I just can't spell! I know it's a low band job but I had a highish paying job when I want back to work after i had ds1. The job was stressfull and I found I wasn't enjoying my time at home with ds as I was constantly worrying about work so after ds2 I decided to stay at home. So now I would like to do something I find interesting etc regardless of pay.

Ok, great. Definitely don't pay for training. You'll do a 3 hour course once employed.
