New freelance job on top of existing job

Hoping someone can help me. I am a teacher and I have a job 3 days per week where I earn just over 21k as a net salary. I was doing a tiny bit of freelance work that was earning me a few pounds a month on top of this. Lately I have had a large demand for my services and have had a lot of requests for work which I am more than happy to do- if I take it all I will be earning a few hundred pounds a month- not loads but significant extra Income.
So I don't know what I'm meant to do here- do I set up a business of some sort so it's all above board? What kind of business do I need to set up? I'm a bit out of my depth from a business point of view so help gratefully received.

You just need to register as self employed with HMRC.
