Hello, any HR people about?

I raised a grievance against a colleague of mine after years of issues,
Issues were refusal to acknowledge my requests for them to action something only they can do in the system, refusing to acknowledge my existence & many other exclusion/bullying type behavior,

we have tried to talk before but it blew up in to a big argument & to be honest i'm just mortified at the whole thing,

My manager encouraged me to raise it, so a few weeks ago, I went through the proper steps with HR & the outcome is that we need to attend a Mediation meeting with Acas,( employer has brought them in to facilitate the mediation ) with Myself & my colleague.

My personal feelings aside about how all this has been conducted i feel tricked to raising this on both the encouragement of our manager & HR themselves, now that i have i'm being treated like a leaper.

The issues at work has had a huge impact on my life, my mental health I am on antidepressants by marriage & home life are suffering
so here is the reason i posted,

My manager was asked to give a witness statement to HR, I found a signed copy of this in the recycling bin by the printer I was looking for a document I had printed earlier in the day, that was thrown out, in the bin it caught my eye as it had my both my name & my colleagues, I picked it up, & the human in me read it, this was not in a private bin, it was in the middle of the office & anyone has access,

He wrote some hurtful & untrue statements, some down right wrong statements and implied that I dont like working with women, and he was asked "does Pjamama like men?", and he replied yes. he also implied that all of my male colleagues also believe this, just to clarify, there are only 2 females in the dept, Myself & the one i have the grievance with,

I am just heartbroken, this is not true at all, how he can base that on me working with only 1 woman,
he also told HR some private info i had passed such as i had suffered awful bullying in the past, he said that "she has OCD about her work"

what do I do? I went to HR and said I've found this, and so far, nothing radio silence,
My manager has been on holiday for 3 weeks so has not been around hes back today,

I'm so worried about being disciplined for reading a private document, and that they'll try get rid of me for raising this grievance,
been here 4.5 years, never been in any sort of trouble,

Hi

No real advice but just wanted to ask how today went with your manager back?

I think someone will be in trouble for leaving it in view!
I wouldn't worry about the rest sounds like they have a poor culture and HR should weed out the culprits. If they don't you'll be heavily protected by the law if anything untoward goes on - good luck x
