Take the money and run or not?

Option come up to take redundancy. Probably could carry on where I work if I want to.
I'll get around £6k if I take redundancy. Been there nearly 10 years.
I've wanted to move on for a while though it's tricky as tbh the job pays well for the sector, it's not too stressful and I can work part time. I have two young children. Hence the issue of what else could I do? Easier if able to work full time etc. But if I was thinking of sacking it off, I'll be £6k better off now so perhaps I should jump. On the other hand £6k for 10 years doesn't seem that great to me particularly as the redundancy is around a fuck up maternity wise.
Any words of wisdom?!

I think you'd be mad to take the money unless you had another job to walk into.

Really depends how much £6k is to you? For us that would pay the bills plus extra for fiveish months, which is plenty of time to get a new job. If you're used to being on £6k a month then I doubt you'll get far if you know what I mean?
