This is hypothetical in the sense that i havent had my baby yet, but i am thinking about asking to reduce my hours after i return to work. I currently work 40 hours a week in an office of about 7 people. 1 other colleague works 40 hours i think although in reality he doesnt as he takes an hour lunch break when it should be 30 minutes. The other women work either 37.5 or 35 hours, all starting half an hour after me and some taking an hour lunch when i have 30 mins. What i would like is to cut down to 37.5 or 35 but finishing at 2.30 one or two days... likely tues and weds as my job would be impacted mon, thurs and fri. Does that sound reasonable to you?
