Best way to find an admin job in london - Recruitment agencies?

Years ago I went into London then spent the day visiting agencies and they would set up interviews etc. Does it still work like that? Am trawling internet for jobs but it just seems like so much work and no emails back. Do London agencies still exist? I was made redundant earlier this week and am desperate to get back to work.

Yes agencies still a good way to find admin work. Look at secsinthecity.com and make a note of the agencies who seem to have the sort of jobs you'd like. Then send over your CV and folllow up with a call a day or so later.

Start with Indeed.com and search for jobs in your area, then home in on the Recruitment agencies and contact them direct, or apply for roles they advertise then ring them up for a chat.

It's still all about people, even though recruitment can feel so impersonal these days. Once you get to know a key contact at each agency that's a good starting point.
