Can someone word an email for me....or should I just not send one at all?

I applied for a new job last month. Closing date for applications was 30th June and when I sent in the application I received a very nice email back saying they would be in contact after the closing date. A colleague of the person who will be interviewing and who is a friend of mine told me he had been told I would be interviewed.

So I have been expecting to hear this week (interview date is 18th July). I haven't received an email.

BUT over the past 6 days I have had 3 different people tell me that they had tried to email me and it had pinged back to them as undeliverable. I am worried that the interview email might not have got through to me, but on the other hand, I don't want to come across as a crazy desperate person. Grin

So, should I email and just tell them that I have had email problems, or should I just keep quiet and hope that if an email has pinged back they would phone me.....but what if it didn't ping back???

Can anyone advise me to keep me sane. I really want this job and felt I was in with a good shot at proving I could do it.

Advise them of email problems - quite possibly just call

I wouldn't email, what if their reply goes astray? Give them a call.

I would definitely call and explain you have been having email issues. Ask for outcome from application over the phone.

Thanks for answering. I have just looked at the job application and it doesn't have a phone number on it. The only way to communicate is with email.
So, should I do a search for a number, or use email?

Does the person who said you'd be interviewing have a number?

I'd definitely ring not email!

Just done a google search of the man I sent the application to and I have his work phone number, so I will pluck up the courage tomorrow and give him a call. I suppose I have nothing to lose.

Thank you - well, I phoned and left a message, so now if I don't hear anything I will know it is because they don't want me and not because of a missed email.

I bloody wish I knew though, I hate waiting for things and sooooo want that job!!
