AIBU- Keep In Touch Day

Had a keep in touch Day arranged with my boss yesterday at 11am. I turn up to work and she has called in sick first thing yesterday mornings. I checked my phone and email and she didn't message me. I spent 1.5hrs on the train to get to work and then another 1.5hrs home plus I had arranged childcare for my DS.

AIBU in expecting that I am paid for my keep in touch day?

You should be paid. You showed up. Was there no one else who could have gone through things with you?

She might ask you to schedule another KIT day but you should then be paid for both.
