I'm looking for advice from someone who may know about this? Basically, I'm on an apprenticeship that started last June last year and wasn't supposed to finish until December this year. Yesterday I was called into my managers office where she told me that because the project I work for is finishing they wont have any work for me so they've got no choice but to terminate my contract early which means i'll finish work at the end of this month but that i'll still get my full pay for this month. Can they do this?? Should they have even taken me on and signed the contract if they knew the apprenticeship was going to last longer than the duration of the project?
