NI contributions

Just to preface this, I know virtually nothing about tax, NI, and the likes so sorry if I'm asking a really stupid question.

I've just looked at my NI contributions online for the first time and wondered if anyone could explain to me why the years all say full year 52 or 53 weeks, apart from 1 year which says full year 46 weeks. I can't work out why it shouldnt say 52 cos I've never been signed off sick etc, any time off has been annual or compassionate leave. Has my boss underpaid my contributions that year or could there be a straightforward reason for it?

Do you have your P60 or payslips from that year?

If you were employed and earning above the threshold you should have the full year.
