Three interviews, no job

I just don't know where I'm going wrong. I've just been through three interviews for jobs at the same organisation.

The first role was an admin assistant role and it appealed to me because the organisation does something I'm interested in and the role was local and part time. According to feedback, I was very close but another candidate pipped me. They said they really liked what I had to offer and would I think about applying for a role they were shortly going to advertise.

Applied for that role, interviewed and didn't get it, but again they said, we think you'll fit this other role. The interview feedback was quite a bit more vague. It was competency based and I reached the standard in all the areas. I kind of assumed that someone else must have just done better. But they readvertised and suggested I reapply.

Decided not to reapply but did apply for the third role they said suited me, again, interviewed. I didn't get the third role either.

I just cannot work out where I am going wrong. It must be my interview technique, because they keep commenting on my strong application on paper. The fact I meet the competencies suggests that I am letting myself down in other areas.

I think I would ask them for more specific feedback. They keep telling you to apply for roles but turning you down at interview stage. Tell them you are confused and would like to know exactly what the problem is.

Failing that, cast your net elsewhere. It could be that it isn't meant to be.

Yeah, I'm going to apply elsewhere, I just feel like I have wasted three months of my life with this organisation. My first interview with them was back in early April and it's been an endless process of form filling and security questionnaires since then.
