Has anyone done an apprenticeship when they were older? I have an interview for one next week. Is the interview likely to the same as a normal job interview?

I have an interview on Tuesday for a business administration apprenticeship. It is within the NHS. I really really want it. Itnis the only part time one I have ever seen, they all tend to be full time which I can't do.

I'm in my 30's so I'm assuming I'm going to be up against younger people tbh. I have done a level 1 business admin course recently and levels 1 and 2 IT courses. All of which I loved and whizzed through so I know Imwould enjoy the job and as it is for an NVQ2, I know I'd get through it easily.

Is the interview likely to be exactly the same as a normal job interview? Do you think the fact I am older wanting to do an apprenticeship will help or hinder me? It is stated it is 30 hours but I have spoken to the college, asking if it is possible to do less (I have a chronic illness so it would be a reasonable adjustment for me) and they have confirmed I could do 24 hours a week and I need to bring this up in the interview, no idea how though!

Any NHS interview tips?

Apologies you've not had a response before the interview. I hope it went well.

Good for you for going for an apprenticeship!

I didn't get it.

I came a very close second apparently. It was close between me and someone else and the only thing that done it was they gave a more detailed answer to one question. And now I know that, I know exactly what else I should have said! Bloody annoying!
