Do I need to tell employer about counselling?

Bit of background: I have a history of depression and anxiety. Currently doing ok, not on any mess or anything and generally feeling pretty good. Had a fairly stressful few years though with illness, bereavement, redundancy, studying, financial problems etc and I have a tendency to bottle things up. Decided to go for some therapy sessions as we want to TTC baby no.2 next year but a traumatic birth with DS left me with PTSD and I'm a bit worried that all the issues previously mentioned combined with pg hormones may trigger a relapse with my MH issues so I want to deal with everything properly and learn some coping strategies if I do get anxious. Currently on a temporary contract at a nursery and hoping to get a permanent one but concerned that telling my boss will put her off. Do I have to legally?

No, you don't "need" to tell anyone but I would be very supportive if some one confided in me through a difficult time. Are you worried that you won't be taken on permanently if you disclose?

I hope everything works out ok for you, it did for me, eventually Flowers
