Quit my job. Relieved but terrified.

I recently quit my job as it was affecting my health.
Whilst I am relieved that I don't have to ever go back, I am also terrified about what the future holds.
I'm very lucky that my lovely partner is so supportive and encouraged me to hand my notice in as it was making me ill.
I have never quit a job without another to go to and I feel really lost at the moment.
I am currently applying for jobs but I am so worried I will end up unemployed for longer than I expected.

Hi there, it really feels terrifying to quit a job without another in sight. I felt the same way as you when I did it. But honestly it was one of the best decisions of my career. I found a new job less than a month after in an amazing company and have had several promotions since then. You'll find that the next opportunity is just around the corner. Good luck!
