Can any CIPD members advise?

I have a L5 qualification and am an Associate member. However I'm not in a job requiring the membership at the moment and I could do with saving the money.

If I unjoin, can I automatically rejoin later on the basis of my L5 qualification, or do you need to maintain your membership to avoid problems?

Yes I believe you can.

Yep no problem unjoining and joining again at the same level later. I tend only to maintain my membership when my employer is paying my fees, so when I've had jobs and they haven't been willing to pay, I've just unjoined for a while.
