I have an interview for the bank for the local trust (as an A/N) on Wed - applied ages ago so am pleased to have one. I do some agency work at the moment but its more nursing homes.

Some questions

  • I am planning on wearing - black trousers, white+black striped shirt and black v-neck jumper with black ballet flats - sound ok?
-What will they ask me? I am a 2nd year student nurse and have had 3 placements in the trust, also have a years experience as a HCA. -In the occy health form they have sent me it asks about MH problems - i had them, I am fine now, I have been completely cleared by uni occy health - do I still have the bloody mention them (am not bothered - its just a hassle!)? -Oh and hair up or down? Its shoulder length.

Does anyone know if it is actually true that its v.easy to go from Auxiliary on the bank to staff nurse once you qualify and are unemployed

Cheers!

you will be fine, i work in community ot,

I am guessing they will definetely ask you about patient confidentality,
maybe how you will deal with it when patient dies?

maybe how you will deal with mucky things sick etc.

might be good to try and link some answers with experiencences you have had,,

the outfit sounds lovely

best of luck

to answer your last question -

yes - it will probably be alot easier to get a job if you're already known. the same goes if you apply to the area of your management placement. I've employed students in their final placement with me, also bank staff and taken agency staff on to trust contracts.

i say all this but then posts are now more sparse - in our trust we have 10 nurses qualifying (LD branch) this summer and what amounts to 3 full time vacancies that may be available in august - they all want to stay too.
