School admin management role cut to ribbons - next steps

Long story short - gutted. Proposal that I'll be losing more than half my salary by September and we simply can't live on that. Can argue why I shouldn't be cut by just so much - I've time to respond to the proposed cut - but perhaps this is the push I need.

Could anyone advise of any specialist recruitment agencies for educational admin staff - do such agencies exist? I'm looking to relocate to York and get my foot in the door.

Thanks in advance.

I'm a Governor at a College we use these to recruit : www.capitaeducation.co.uk/

Thank you. I'll register with them as soon as my CV is up to scratch. That'll be my priority this weekend!

Theres others too, you should be able to find them by doing a general search:

abc-teachers is one and eteach.com have search facilities. Also try schools websites directly. They sometimes advertise on their own website first.

Thanks again. I suppose I assumed these were for teaching roles only. Search starts after the shock wears off. Blush

Thanks. Hopefully a temporary setback. At least I've got some time to play with. Smile

any large academy chains near you? Check their websites for direct recruitment

I'll have a look - also at ones in York, etc.

I've looked at a few York schools for you and haven't found anything. However, there are three admin posts going at York St John Uni here:

Hope you find something :)

Thanks so much. The Accommodation Manager role looks good as much of what is on the person specification applies. Who knows, might be a nice sideways move!

Nothing constructive to add, other than to wish you the best of luck and even though it has been a shock, when you get a great new role, you'll have the feeling of "one door closes and another one opens"
