Very briefly, due to personal issues and recognising that as a result I wasn't being particularly effective in my current managerial role, I requested a demotion back to my original role within the company and this was agreed. However, although I had only ever received 2k salary increase for my managerial responsibilities they have reduced my salary by 5k. This is 3k less than when I was doing my previous job eight years ago. Am I being unreasonable in expecting to revert to the same salary that I had before?
