Just started to write up a business plan and gather ideas for a business I want to set up in the future.

Anyone else starting out, or further through the process and want to share tips/ideas etc?

This would be so useful, but it's hard to get people chatting and a lot of people think they are serious but aren't actually.

What are you thinking of doing? I have my samples arriving from various manufacturers this week and am so nervous that they will look like I want and expect.

I am really struggling with the company name, nothing feels quite right, but I'm nearly against the wall needing to incorporate, get domain registered and set up business bank account asap or else other things will be delayed. And also my accounting will get complex.

Once I review the samples I have to do a meeting with a company I want to do some post processing of the items and then will get stuck into packaging etc.

I've done a huge amount of research but there is so much to learn. I'm also going over my initial investment budget but as long as the products are as good as I am planning, I know I can always get the money back on them.

Would love to hear from others starting out....

-Have a really really really detailed brainstorm of your competitors. Then another brainstorm to make sure that you know how you differentiate from them enough to make customers come to you instead!
-Work out how much you're willing to put in £ wise at the start.
-Never underestimate the power of social media to generate traffic and sales to your site!
