Want to work 11 months out of 12

I'm contemplating asking to have August off every year, it is feasible in my work as things are quieter then. I would prefer my salary to be averaged over the year so I always had some pay. If I did this, and work agreed, what would my holiday entitlement be for the rest of the year?

My holiday entitlement based on me working FT is currently 25 days plus bank holidays.

Working rhough? Like going 4 days a week would be prorata?

Yes, I would put in a flexible working request. I'm glad you like having August off too, I am interested in some work life balance and a nice long break from work!

Holiday would be 22.9 days plus bank holidays.

(25 days divided by 12 months to give days per month pro rata and then multiplied by 11 to reflect the 11 months worked.)

Thanks User, it doesn't sound like too much of a drop. Now I just need to figure out if we can afford the dip in salary.
