Help, get me organised!

I'm starting a new job as a TA in a few weeks, having finished work after my second DC was born two years ago.

I can't wait to get back to work, but I'm honestly terrified of getting us all into a routine, we are fairly relaxed at the moment, lazy mornings in our Pj's etc!

We'll need to leave the house at 6.30am, and my kids typically rise about 5.30am. Note we are in the Mid East and this is quite normal!

Tell me your morning routines and how you successfully get everyone out the door on time? What do you do the night before? Is your 3.5yr old expected to get themselves dressed etc?

My suggestion is to do as much as you can the night before - get the everyone's clothes ironed, laid out, ready to put straight on.
Anything you need to take to work with you should be packed in a bag and ready to go by the door.
Showered/hair washed the night before.
If you'll be taking your lunch to work, get that made up and leave in the fridge so you just need to grab it and go.
All seems pretty obvious but in my experience, it's so easy to thing 'I'll just do that in the morning, we always have plenty of time..' and then the next morning will be the one where you have a poorly child, your iron breaks and you can't find your car keys
I've even started having overnight oats most mornings for breakfast so I just leave those refrigerated overnight too. All helps the mornings run smoothly

Oh and for children getting themselves dressed, my DSD can if I leave her but she does look a little disheveled! Obviously it's easier for little ones, if clothes are laid out, and you can just try and keep an eye on them. She usually gets herself dressed in my room while I'm doing my hair or something, so I can make sure she has things on the right way!

1 and 3 year old here, and both of us work full time. Have to be out the house by 7:00am. All kids clothes laid out for each of them for the week on the spare bed, including socks, vests, etc. Each have a nursery bag which I check and refill with nappies, wipes, spare clothes etc every night and leave it by front door. Stick TV / iPad on for 10 mins to get them to sit quietly whilst we get dressed! My work bag packed and clothes ready night before too, quick shower, stick hair up wet and don't bother with make-up! We can just about be ready on time but it's taken a lot of practise, didn't know whether I was coming or going for the first few weeks! Good luck!
