I have a registered nurse qualification (lapsed) with 20 yrs or so good experience (cardiac care, intensive care, neurosurgery, anaesthetics and recovery), a PTLLS qual and a current First Aid at Work L3 qual.

I am wondering, now that the youngest DC is growing up fast, how easy or difficult it is to put these skills to some good use. I have been out of hospital work for quite a while. Any advice appreciated.

Paediatric first aid training can be done in a week
You're then qualified to deliver first aid training
Most early years settings are looking to train all staff in paediatric first aid
I don't have any idea of the cost but a colleague has done the course and we re now delivering training yo all our staff in house because it is so difficult to find training when we need it
It could be an area to explore

I was a first aid trainer with the red cross
No prior medical knowledge, but lots of training experience.

Very boring, repetitive 1, 3 or 5 day courses.
