How long is too long

I quit my full time job whilst on maternity leave. No flexible working allowed etc. I've been offered two part time jobs where my baby would be in nursery:

M-Th: 7 hours a day and F,S,S off or baby could be in nursery: M-F: 6 hours a day

Or:
M,W,Th,F: baby in nursery 5.5 hours per day and then baby in nursery on Tues for 9.5 hours.

Which do you think would be best for my 6-month old son? I'm trying my best to find a happy medium. The totals above also include my commute.

Also, the first job would have the same hours every day, so it would be a solid routine.

Definitely 4 day week rather than 5 day week! Would baby definitely have to do the long day every week with option 2 or could do / dh pick up earlier sometimes?
Either is fine really, lots of shorter days and one long sounds good but I'd worry more about distance, prospects etc.

Well, for me it would depend on everything about the job, as none of them seem horrendous, but, if everything else were equal, I'd go for the day at home - Option 1, without a doubt.

Thanks gals. Both good jobs, but I'm more inclined for option one. I'm quite sad and worried about baby being in there too long each day, but with option one, we would still get 7 hours a day together, so I think that works best too.
